It was another strong showing for the Revolution in the annual Mid Atlantic Bash. The squad went 2-1 in Saturday's pool play and won their pool. This gave the team the #2 seed headed into Sunday's single elimination playoff.
The team handled it's business in the semi finals, knocking off the Coras 21-1. The championship game pitted the Revolution against a familiar foe, the Gildea's Raiders. The Raiders beat the Revolution two years ago in the championship, but the Revolution eliminated the Raiders in the semi finals last year.
The Raiders jumped on the board early and carried a convincing lead throughout most of the game. But the Revolution squad kept chipping away and found themselves down 3 headed into the bottom of the seventh. The team pushed across 2 runs and had the tying run on third, but were unable to plate the run. They would wind up losing by 1.
Overall, it was another fun and exciting two day tournament.
