Early Lead For Kennett Seals Fate For Exton Blue

Exton Blue fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 21-4 loss to Kennett Post 491 on Wednesday. Exton struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Kennett, giving up 21 runs.

Kennett Post 491 dominated all three phases of the game with the defense being the most impressive part of their game. Kennett recorded two outfield assists along with two double plays.

Pitching was also on display as both starter, Jack Beauchamp, and reliever, Nate DeAngelo pounded the zone, only allowing 8 H and 3 ER combined over seven innings. But, most importantly, both pitchers only allowed 2 walks in total over seven frames.

Post 491’s offense was also on fire, tallying 13 hits on the evening. Jeremy Sauerbaum led the team with 3 hits and 3 runs scored. Alex Wisniewski, Steve Thomas, and Conner Brookes also had multi-hit games. DeAngelo led all players with 3 RBIs, while also posting 4 walks and reaching base in all five ABs.

The team returns to action on Friday night facing Exton Gold.
